Many couple like to enjoy music at their wedding; the music can be played throughout the ceremony as well as the reception so you have to think about that as well. Many couples play the traditional “here comes the bride” on the organs or the piano at the ceremony as the bride is walking down the aisle with the man that is going to give her away which is usually the bride’s father but any important male in her life can be nominated as the person who gives her away! Music can be traditional, jazzy, and funky or indeed anything you want it to be.

During the ceremony wedding music is allowed to be played but only at the start you need silence for the exchange of the vows and making the marriage legal, after the ceremony when you are leaving the church or garden or office, in fact anywhere that you have been married, many newly weds play a lively happy song to guide them out of their venue and on to their wedding reception.

At the wedding reception entertainment and music is a must, whether this comes in the form of a DJ, live band or even a comedian there should be great music and good food, with lots of people dancing. It is traditional for the newly weds to have their first dance as a newly married couple before any one else has a dance on the floor, this is where you usually pick a favourite meaningful song that has a lot of significance to you and your partner as it serves as a memory reminder, whenever you hear that song from now on your mind will flash back to your first wedding dance with each other and your first day as a married couple.

Wedding music is important, it helps people to be happy. Music is an aphrodisiac and makes people feel good. And to be honest it will bring lots of laughs and happy memories as when the guests and family start to have their drinks their dancing becomes more frequent and enjoyable. A wedding brings families of the bride and groom closer so they could even dance together to help it along, making sure that everyone has a great time and a good dance is imperative to your wedding. Not only your guests of course, you and your new husband or wife got to be sure they are having the best day of their life!

Your wedding day can be the realization of a lifetime of dreams; you want everything to be perfect – from your dress to your flowers and everything in between. But, for most of us, planning the perfect wedding means doing so on a budget. And when it comes to high-end services such as photography, staying true to that budget can prove extremely difficult. However, with research, planning, and a significant dose of flexibility, you can find affordable wedding photography that will not only meet your budget restrictions but provide you with the beautiful photography you deserve.

Finding affordable wedding photography can be accomplished in a number of ways. Word of mouth is the most essential tool you can use to find those wedding services you want at a budget that works for you. Talk to friends or acquaintances that have held weddings similar in size and scope to what you’re planning to determine what vendors worked successfully within their budget.

Another avenue you may want to explore when it comes to finding affordable wedding photography is the venue where you are holding your reception. Clearly, reception sites host a variety of weddings throughout the year; they often have access to quality vendors who offer affordable services.

Some people may think that hiring a wedding planner works against a budget-conscious wedding, but the opposite is often true. Wedding planners will often pay for themselves with the money they save you in vendor fees. Because wedding planners work with photographers frequently, they often have established relationships that will save you money in the end.

But when it comes to affordable wedding photography, sometimes limiting the services you require rather than choosing a low-priced photographer will help you stay within your budget restrictions. If you have your heart set on a particular photographer that does beautiful work then compromise to get to the price that you need; perhaps have the photographer only shoot your ceremony and formal shots and then ask your guests to help take photographs throughout your reception to be gathered into an album at a later date.

Ultimately, affordable wedding photography is about creativity and flexibility. If you think outside the box and think of small ways to save money, eventually those small steps will add up to big savings.

Your Summer Wedding Theme

Summer is a perfect season for wedding. In summer you can enjoy the beautiful sunshine. The wedding can be less formal if you are tired of all the etiquette. Besides, there are virtually more spaces for your to make your own unique wedding in summer. This will make your wedding more memorable and your guests will remember it easily.

You may have already made up your mind to have this summer romance. However, you may just have this idea and do not have any clue on how to plan for it. Without any surprise, you need to firstly think of a wedding theme so that all the decision can be made within the frame of the wedding theme.

As for a summer wedding theme, you have tremendous options. You can search on the internet and get tons of ideas by just searching the term “summer wedding theme”. You may have also bought quite a number of bridal magazines from the day you engaged. You can also get some other ideas from these bridal magazines. One common thing about a summer theme is that it is usually an outdoor wedding. This may explain why a summer wedding can be less formal than other wedding themes.

The first theme that should be mentioned when we talk about a summer wedding is a beach wedding theme. You can really enjoy the sunshine on the beach. The scenery on the beach should also be marvelous. All of the guests, as well as you, can walk on the beach with the bare foot. You can even choose bikini as your wedding gown (of course if you are crazy enough). You can choose either public or private beach for your wedding. It will depend on the number of guests you are going to invite and your budget. You may even serve your guess with seafood to match your beach wedding theme. Apart from all of the above, a very good reason for a beach wedding is that it can be a lot cheaper than a formal one.

Another famous theme in summer is a garden theme. You can enjoy the nature if you are choosing a garden theme. The birds are singing and blessing both of you and your guests. Again, you can either choose a public or a private garden for your wedding. It will be interesting if you can decorate your venue with miniatures of elements such as bird cages. In fact bird cages can be a perfect idea of centerpieces for a garden wedding theme. This theme is perfect if you think a beach theme is too casual for some reasons.

As for your other wedding items, you can try to source for items that can match your theme. It is certain that you will not wear bikini if you are choosing a garden wedding theme. Even the wedding invitation, wedding cake, and favors can be somehow matching your wedding theme. In this way your guests will really feel impressed and remember your wedding for many years to come.

Wedding photo albums haven’t changed much over the years but gradually some newer types are coming into the system. Almost all albums for instance will place the bride in the place of honor at the front of the album, just as it did in her mother’s time. Most weddings take place in beautiful places where there is always a special spot for the photographer to take some pictures of the bride and groom together after the service.

Of course you will also see photos of the wedding party together in the wedding photo album to show how fantastic they all looked on the day in their dresses and tuxedos. This is of course is the group of people that play a part in the days activities like the bridesmaids and the best man for example. The photos of the bride’s attendants will be next in the album.

The family of the groom poses for a picture that ends up in the album, and there is another one of the bride with her family. Wedding photo albums should also have a mention as they need to be as elaborate as the ceremony otherwise they will not do justice to the care which is taken over the photographs. Wedding photo albums are normally elaborate to complement the ceremony itself with elaborate covers that tend to be in white.

It is just as important for the contents of the wedding album to impress and this is achieved by clever display techniques that show the day off at its best. Some modern groups will probably have a digital version available on a computer disc as well supplied by the wedding photographer. Many hundreds of images can now be stored on a cd rom which makes it simple to carry around and display on a TV screen with little chance of damage.

It is now becoming more common for the bride and groom to make a cd rom thereby providing a digital wedding photo album available to every guest as a permanent reminder of their special day. This also means that guests have the opportunity to print off images they like whenever they wish and still keep a reminder of the day that can be seen at home on the TV if they wish. The latest digital photo frames mean you can see a slide show of images wherever you wish to place the viewer; this adds a new and novel touch to looking at pictures.

Some Great Wedding Ideas

Almost every girl has a picture of her ideal wedding in her mind. She may dream up something that she can visualize when reading fairy tales that end with and they live happily ever after. She sees flowers, ribbons and laces.

However, when her wedding day comes, she may have other considerations on her mind. She still dreams of her ideal wedding but she starts incorporating other subjects that represent her and her groom. Not to mention that the bride also considers the current trends in wedding fashion and decoration. And the most important subject to talk about when choosing decorations is the cost.

Nobody wants to spend the first few months of being married paying of debts made during the wedding preparations. Therefore, the groom to be and bride to be should be very careful what to spend on. Here are a few things to consider.

Personalize the decorations. Not only does this add a personal touch to the celebration but this also cuts down on the cost. For example, if the bride or the groom is a photographer, they may choose having photos from their collection made the main subjects for the reception design. The photos may also be used for invitations and keepsakes.

Consider renting. Most of the items that will be used for decorations will not be used again. These include the centerpieces, the vases, the arc ways and the artificial flower arrangements. So ask your wedding decorator for options to rent these pieces.

Kids can get bored during the wedding reception. So instead of having kids seated at the same table with the adults, you can have an area where kids can be more casual and can have a small party of their own.

Marriage is a union of families. During the wedding rites, if possible, you may alter some of the practices to include the children of the bride or groom from previous marriage or the parents and families of the couple. Having them perform a special union rite will signify that the wedding is not just a union of two people but also of two families.

For the food during the reception, you may inquire with cooking or culinary arts schools. They may agree to cater for the reception for just the price of the food, or perhaps, a little more. You may also have a pot luck by asking family members and close friends to cook a dish.

If you wanted to cut down on the cost for the wedding party, you can just invite more people to the engagement party. Usually, only cocktails and hors doeuvres are served, which cost less than the full set of meals for the wedding reception guests.

For the music, you can look for a local college band or DJ. You can also have your favorite songs just downloaded from the Internet and saved to an mp3 player or CD to be played over the speakers during the reception.

When considering the cost of church decorations, check if there will be another couple that will get married on the same day. They may want to coordinate what decorations can be used for both wedding ceremonies to lessen the need to change decorations before or after the wedding and to split the cost.

Getting married should not be expensive. After all, the essence of marriage is in the union and not in the celebration. You should not also try too hard to please the guests. Your family and friends are there to rejoice this wonderful event with you and not to criticize your wedding.

Destination Wedding Planning

We travel farther and more often than ever, so it makes sense that more-and-more people chose to get married in romantic far away places. Weddings at dream locations are called destination weddings, a trend that is becoming popular. Dream destinations can be very different locations. If you love the ocean, but you live in a land locked part of the country, a destination wedding may be the most fitting option for you. The destination often serves as the location for the honeymoon and a possible vacation for your guests.

Destination weddings are not necessarily located on white sandy beaches, but you may decide to have your wedding at a national park, the country, or a historical site. You may choose to get married in the birthplace of your ancestors. Destination weddings provide you and your guests a chance to visit another country or another continent. Destination weddings are very exciting, but there is work involved and you need to plan in advance.

If you are planning a domestic destination-wedding, make sure you contact the marriage license department of the destination county. It is a good idea to call a local wedding planner for a consultation. The assistance of a local wedding planner at your destination can simplify the planning process. When planning a destination wedding one of your most important tasks is to make sure that you understand the legal documents and requirements to get married in your destination county.

If you are marrying outside of the country, contact the destination country’s embassy or consulate for legal requirements. If you are not comfortable dealing with embassies, contact local hotel wedding coordinators for help. Wedding professionals at your destination hotel should be able to provide you with valuable information. Many prevalent destination-wedding locations offer on site wedding coordinators equipped with a lot of great information.

If you are going to invite guests, keep their needs and interests in mind, too.
A destination wedding could mean savings since your wedding ceremony and your honeymoon can be at the same destination.

Typically, wedding ceremonies are structured events and are commonly broken down into several components. Remember, that this is your wedding and you have options on what happens during your wedding. Don’t be intimidated by your friends, family, or even your wedding officiant. Unless you are asking for something outrageous, you should be able to have the ceremony conducted to your desires. Music is almost always part of the beginning of all wedding ceremonies, but music can be a part of any element.

Some of the most common elements of the wedding ceremony are:

Introduction – In this segment your wedding ceremony officiant declares the purpose of the gathering. He introduces the bride and groom, and welcomes the wedding guests. If it is a religious ceremony, he solicits everyone to participate in a prayer.

Lead up – This segment is probably the most forgettable part of the event, and it is often omitted. You may ask your officiant to follow the introduction with your vows to save time or if you are not interested in a drawn out sermon. If you elected to have a clergyman as your officiant, this part of your ceremony may be difficult to omit.

Vows – This is the “I do” part. Simply put, this is the one part of a wedding ceremony that you cannot compromise. It is always going to be part of the wedding, and it should be the most intimate part of your entire ceremony. At this time your officiant explains the significance of the couples vows followed by the bride and groom affirming their commitment to each other. Did you know that you could write your own vows? Writing your own vows gives you a chance to really personalize your ceremony. Be sure that both you and your groom are involved in the process. It should be a democratic process, to enhance the experience for both of you. Feel free to use your own words, so you feel comfortable with the language of your vows.

Exchange of the Rings – Once you declared your commitment to each other with your vows you are invited to place a wedding ring on each other’s ring fingers. For many this is one of the most moving event of the ceremony.

Announcement – The closing segment of most wedding ceremonies is the announcement and the “kissing of the bride.”

Keep in mind, this is your special day and you decide on how you want the wedding ceremony to progress. Remember, it is OK to be different. Your guest will appreciate an interesting wedding ceremony that is unpredictably exciting. To a large degree, ceremonies are for the entertainment of you and your guest, so have fun with it.

Scheduling Your Wedding Date

February 25th, 2008

One of the most important first tasks you have planning your wedding is setting the date. Setting the best possible date sounds easier than it is. Before you make your decision, there are many events and other important dates to consider. Your day will have a lot to do with cost, availability, who can attend, etc.

On average, there is 12-18 months between the engagement and the wedding day. Since there are so many components to plan for one year may not be enough time for many. Before setting the date for the big day, you should consider your friends and family members’ schedules. Birthdays, graduations, vacations, and other events may prevent people important to you attend your wedding day.

Getting married during the busiest wedding ceremony months has multiple challenges. First, be prepared to pay premium for reception venues, photography services, limos, etc. In addition to hire costs, you should consider challenges based on availability. Your dream location may not be available on your dream date. May through September are some of the busiest months for weddings, if you can, you should consider getting married one of the off months. November through April gives you more opportunities to keep costs down. During the slower months, you are bound to get better service because more vendors are competing for your business.

Because Saturday is the most popular wedding day, beware that you are competing with many other brides for the same venues and services. Saturday is the most convenient day for your guests, but it offers you the most challenge and expense. Fridays and Sundays are considered the next best days and are still much more convenient than weekdays.

Like anything else in life, there will be pros and cons to any possible wedding date. Your job is to figure out the best possible date based on your needs and desires.
